This research analyzes and describes the process of adapting the Revista Interinstitucional Artes de Educar (RIAE) for indexing in national and international databases. The methodology was based on the systematization of indexing criteria proposed by Marafon, Avila, and Barboza (2019), complemented by references from Santos (2024) and Santos & Passos (2011), which resulted in the selection of 27 relevant databases in the fields of humanities, education, and multidisciplinary studies. It was found that the journal meets most of the required criteria, with highlights including author exogeneity (79% external), geographical and gender diversity in the editorial board, regular periodicity, and a number of articles published above the thresholds expected by most indexers. It is concluded that RIAE has established itself as a relevant journal in the field of education, adopting good editorial practices and demonstrating potential to expand its inclusion in indexing databases.
