an analysis based on new scenarios of Legal Education

The paper argues that critical race theory must be on the basis of Brazilian critical legal studies, ellecting the new realities of legal education as locus of analysis. The first section of the text investigates the debates on Brazilian critical legal studies and legal education to highlight the silence on race. In order to discuss the racial dimension more accurately, we discuss affirmative actions programs' impacts and the experiences of black female professors in legal education. The fifteen years of Revista Direito & Práxis' existence have followed - and deployed - the processes of resemantization of the notion of Brazilian critical legal studies, due historical changes. Legal education was also shaken by this context, and could not remain dormant before the presence of racialized subjects which reveals the whiteness of Law and offers new epistemological perspectives.
