In this article, some reflections on the issue of renewable energies are developed based
on the work of the philosopher Enrique Dussel (1934-2023), particularly from the political
project of liberation. The objective is to reveal how, through this project, it is possible to
build critical contributions for a reading on renewable energies, also known as "clean
energies." The empirical case comprises observations made in the Central Region of Rio
Grande do Norte, through the arrival of renewable energy ventures and the consequences
on the rural territories in the central region of the state. This research has a descriptive
and observational character, combined with an ethnographic approach.
