Growing evidence indicates an increase in the prevalence of mental health problems among postgraduate students. Considering that postgraduate studies can affect the mental health of students, the following question arises: what actions have universities implemented to promote and improve the mental health of postgraduate students? To answer this question, a systematic literature review was carried out. The main objective was to identify interventional actions aimed at improving the mental health of postgraduate students offered by higher education institutions. Twenty-three studies met the eligibility criteria and eight types of interventions were found: Psychoeducation for mental health self-care, Support group, Music therapy, Mindfulness and yoga, Spiritual practices, Activities guided by Positive Psychology, Dog-assisted interventions and Using technology to promote psychological well-being. All interventions were effective in helping postgraduate students reduce their indicators of mental illness. It is believed that the results of this study justify the implementation of policies and programs aimed at interventions focused on the mental health of postgraduate students.
