The aim of this research is to answer the following question: can the implementation of the Justice 4.0 Program ensure a reduction in the time taken to process lawsuits? The goal is to understand the context, thematic axes and objectives of the Justice 4.0 Program as a judicial policy and the benefits provided using digital solutions. Next, we will identify the effects of the adoption of technological innovations on procedural processing times, carrying out a comparative analysis of the average duration of cases before and after the implementation of the Justice 4.0 Program, and what the contribution is to achieve the national goals of the National Council of Justice. Finally, the risk of using technological tools and artificial intelligence in the judiciary is explained. The research approach is predominantly qualitative, pure and comparative, based on a literature review and the use of secondary data available in the National Council of Justice's Justice in Numbers Report. It is concluded that the implementation of the Justice 4.0 Program has contributed to a reduction in the average processing time of pending cases. Considering that the average processing time for cases in the backlog in 2020, when the program had not yet been implemented, was 4 years and 5 months, rising to 4 years and 3 months in 2023, which represents a reduction of 3.77%.
