Resumen
El presente artículo se propone, en primer lugar, analizar los procesos de vaciamiento urbano llevados a cabo desde 2002 en el barrio Vallcarca de Barcelona como un modo particular de “producir ciudad”. En segundo lugar, procura estudiar los proyectos de (re)llenado urbano de los terrenos vacantes tanto desde el Estado y los capitales privados como desde las asociaciones vecinales que, a partir de proyectos alternativos, reivindican otros usos posibles de la ciudad asociados a la reproducción colectiva del hábitat. El objetivo es analizar las disputas por la producción social del espacio entre diferentes actores sociales que entran en conflicto por la definición de usos legítimos e ilegítimos de la ciudad. La metodología de investigación consistió en la realización y el análisis de entrevistas en profundidad y observaciones en el barrio estudiado. Además, se asistió a las asambleas vecinales y se organizó un corpus compuesto por artículos periodísticos y material publicado en los blogs de las organizaciones de vecinos que permitió realizar un estudio diacrónico del caso analizado. Complementariamente, se tomaron fotografías de la zona en estudio. A lo largo de la investigación observamos que el barrio Vallcarca sufrió un triple proceso de vaciamiento urbano: vaciamiento material activo, vaciamiento material pasivo y vaciamiento simbólico.

Abstract
This article analyzes processes of urban vacuum carried out since 2002 in the Vallcarca neighborhood of Barcelona as a particular way of "producing the city". Secondly, it tries to study the projects of urban (re)filling of urban vacuum both from the State and private capitals as well as from neighborhood associations that, based on alternative projects, claim other possible uses of the city associated with the reproduction collective habitat. The objective is to analyze the disputes over the social production of space between different social actors who come into conflict over the definition of legitimate and illegitimate uses of the city. The research methodology consisted of conducting and analyzing in-depth interviews and observations in the neighborhood studied. Besides, the neighborhood assemblies were attended and a corpus made up of journalistic articles and material published in the blogs of the neighborhood organizations was organized, which allowed a diachronic study of the analyzed case to be carried out. Besides, photographs of the study area were taken. Throughout the investigation we observed that the Vallcarca neighborhood suffered a triple process of urban emptying: active material emptying, passive material emptying and symbolic emptying.
