Esta pesquisa-ação realizada na escola do campo abordou como ocorrem as relações de gênero entre os integrantes da escola, considerando que o ambiente escolar reproduz a visão capitalista e patriarcal do mundo exterior, juntos formam obstáculos para a formação educacional igualitária. A educação do campo no Brasil se originou junto aos movimentos sociais do campo e o feminismo junto ao sufrágio e às greves das mulheres. Estas lutas tiveram a contestação e a autonomia dos sujeitos como principal fundamento. O gênero e a escola do campo possuem desafios semelhantes ao se oporem a lógica do capital. A fundamentação teórica apoiou-se nos estudos de gênero, do feminismo, dos movimentos campesinos, da escola do campo e legislações vigentes sobre cada tema. O protagonismo dos participantes foi respeitado, de maneira democrática, propondo a abertura do espaço de fala dos sujeitos que a compõem, iniciando uma caminhada para a equidade.
