Há, sob a luz dos infortúnios do último marxismo do século XX, alguma esperança ou futuro para uma análise marxista? Se, por um lado, o marxismo foi claramente afetado pelo declínio do socialismo real, por outro, a emergência de um terceiro tipo histórico de capitalismo renova a importância de Marx ao livrá-lo da política econômica do capitalismo
industrial.
