ELEMENTOS DO DISCURSO SOBRE QUESTÕES AMBIENTAIS NO CURRÍCULO DE LICENCIATURA EM GEOGRAFIA

DOI: 10.12957/periferia.2014.17270O presente trabalho busca compreender de que forma os sentidos de “ambiente” e “educação ambiental” são construídos no processo de constituição curricular de licenciaturas em geografia. Para tanto, enfocamos o curso de Licenciatura em Geografia com Ênfase em Meio Ambiente da Faculdade de Educação da Baixada Fluminense (FEBF/UERJ). O ementário desse curso foi analisado de modo a observar de que maneira as questões ambientais manifestam-se nos textos. Assim, nos pautamos na teoria do discurso, de Ernesto Laclau, e nas discussões e concepções sobre políticas curriculares construídas por Stephen Ball, Elizabeth Macedo e Alice Lopes. Buscamos compreender que significações ou associações se encontram em disputa nos textos curriculares analisado, que perspectivas de educação ambiental estão presentes nas ementas, enunciando o perfil de educadores ambientais que se pretende formar. Analisamos o documento cumprindo uma exigência de delimitação, cientes de que a construção discursiva não se limita ao que é dito/escrito, mas se dá na interação social, arrolada pelas/nas disputas hegemônicas por significação e enunciação. Desse modo foi possível perceber a fragilidade das questões ambientais em um curso que tem tais questões em seu cerne. Tal fragilidade não se restringe aos dispositivos textuais das ementas, mas, sobretudo, à insolidez estrutural da instituição.
