DOI: 10.12957/periferia.2013.15323O artigo destaca experiências vivenciadas por crianças sobre gênero e sexualidades que costumeiramente são consideradas problemas por educadores(as) ao defrontarem-se com pontos de cruzamento entre certo/errado, normal/anormal, natural/antinatural, verdadeiro/falso. Os pequenos perguntam e promovem situações que levam os adultos ao encontro de seus desconhecimentos, suas culturas e seus medos num verdadeiro confronto com questões emergentes da curiosidade e lógica infantil. O trabalho com o gênero e as sexualidades no contexto escolar é um desafio transformador da prática educativa, na medida em que educadores(as) muitas vezes escolhem não ver certas experiências por não saberem lidar com situações tão delicadas e conflituosas. A pesquisa de doutoramento que originou este trabalho inferiu ocultamentos, silenciamentos e desconhecimentos dos(as) educadores(as) acerca dessas temáticas.
