This article aims to carry out an investigation about the trajectory of Geography Teaching in Brazilian Education, in other words, we seek here, through a bibliographical review of material concerning the subject, to study the historical process of formation of Geography Teaching in Brazil . Because it is a comprehensive historical scope, since we intend to work from the colonial period to the present day, we will not be able to go deeper, nor offer original or complex interpretations on the subject, however, we intend to compile the most general aspects that concern this theme and build a synthesis of the processes that shaped the history of Geography teaching in our country. The text, therefore, aims to synthesize the historical process of formation of Geography Teaching in Brazil, highlighting the agents, institutions and main pedagogical notions contained in thisprocess. Our methodology is fundamentally the bibliographic review of materials of different natures (articles, books, documents, textbooks and the like).
