BRICs en África Subsahariana: Distintas estrategias, mismo interés

Los BRICs están llamados a jugar un rol cada vez más relevante en la escena internacional por la contundencia de sus indicadores económicos: en conjunto, ocupan el 22% de la superficie continental, constituyen el 27% del PBI mundial y reúnen el 41,6% de la población mundial. En este marco, cabe destacar que para continuar con su modelo de crecimiento económico, necesitan determinados recursos naturales y es aquí donde el África cobra relevancia, en tanto es un enorme mercado de consumidores, cuenta con una amplia cantidad de materias primas y como poseedor de los recursos que los BRICs están buscando.
