Cecília Carvalho, a professor of Portuguese as a Foreign Language at PUC-Rio, is also committed to teacher training, always seeking to bring a critical perspective to teaching practices. This interview invites the reader to broaden the basis for a critical reflection that reconciles both a narrow and a broad view of translation in the Portuguese as a Foreign Language classroom.
