[EM EDIÇÃO] Saúde mental, nutrição, estilo e qualidade de vida de professores de um centro universitário

Objetivo: avaliar a presença de transtornos mentais comuns, estilo e qualidade de vida de professores universitários de um centro universitário em São Paulo. Método: estudo transversal, realizado com professores, por meio de coleta de variáveis sociodemográficas e de avaliação do consumo alimentar, sobre o conhecimento em nutrição e a presença de transtornos mentais comuns, e de avaliação do estilo e da qualidade de vida. Realizada análise descritiva dos dados , com teste de normalidade e comparações de médias. Protocolo de pesquisa aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética. Resultados: entre 65 participantes, a maioria apresentou conhecimento moderado em nutrição (n=46; 68,7%), sem a presença de transtorno mental comum (n=48; 71,6%), estilo de vida bom e muito bom (n=54; 80,6%). Conclusão: os professores apresentaram baixa prevalência de transtornos mentais comuns e bom estilo e qualidade de vida. Destacam-se a idade, o conhecimento em nutrição, a qualidade de vida e a saúde mental como preditores do estilo de vida.
