Objetivo: analisar a qualidade de vida de mulheres submetidas à cirurgia oncológica de mama, há pelo menos um ano. Método: estudo observacional transversal quantitativo, com mulheres submetidas à cirurgia entre 2007 e 2009, residentes em Uberaba/MG. Utilizou-se instrumento para coleta dos dados sociodemográficos/clínicos e o WHOQOL-bref. A população foi constituída por 48 pessoas, sendo 37 entrevistadas. Utilizou-se o coeficiente de Pearson e Teste T. A investigação foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa com Seres Humanos da Instituição, protocolo no 1629. Resultados: as mulheres tinham entre 41 e 50 anos, eram casadas, com baixa escolaridade, afastadas do trabalho e realizaram cirurgia conservadora. Domínio mais afetado da qualidade de vida: ambiental. Correlação entre o domínio social e renda familiar e entre o ambiental e idade. Conclusão: mesmo decorrido um longo período após o procedimento cirúrgico, as mulheres ainda possuem necessidades físicas, psicológicas, sociais, econômicas e espirituais a serem atendidas para melhoria de sua qualidade de vida.
ABSTRACT
Objective: to examine the quality of life of women at least one year after breast cancer surgery. Method: this quantitative, observational, cross-sectional study of women resident in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, who underwent breast surgery between 2007 and 2009, used a socio-demographic/clinical data collection instrument and the WHOQOL-BREF. The study population comprised 48 individuals, 37 of whom were interviewed. Pearson’s coefficient and t-Test were used. The study was approved by the institution’s Ethics Committee for Research with Human Subjects (Protocol 1629). Results: the women were between 41 and 50 years old, married, unemployed, had little education and underwent conservative surgery. The environmental QOL domain was most affected. Correlations were found between the social domain and family income and between the environmental domain and age. Conclusion: even long after surgery, women still have physical, psychological, social, economic and spiritual needs to be met to improve their quality of life.

Objetivo: analizar la calidad de vida de mujeres sometidas a cirugía oncológica de mama, de por lo menos un año. Método: estudio observacional transversal cuantitativo, con mujeres sometidas a cirugía entre 2007 y 2009, residentes en Uberaba/MG. Se utilizó instrumento para coleta de datos sociodemográficos/clínicos y el WHOQOL-bref. Populación constituida por 48 personas, siendo 37 entrevistadas. Se utilizó coeficiente de Pearson y Teste T. La investigación fue aprobada por el Comité de Ética en Pesquisa con Seres Humanos de la Institución, protocolo 1629. Resultados: las mujeres tenían entre 41 y 50 años, eran casadas, con baja escolaridad, alejadas del trabajo y realizaron cirugía conservadora. Dominio más afectado: ambiental. Correlación entre dominio social y rienda familiar y ambiental y edad. Conclusión: mismo descorrido un longo período desde el procedimiento quirúrgico, las mujeres aún poseen necesidades físicas, psicológicas, sociales, económicas y espirituales a ser atendidas para mejoría de su calidad de vida.
