This descriptive-exploratory study aimed to analyze some detailsof the user evaluation about nutritional care offered in an areaassisted by the Family Health Strategies. The population of thestudy were nine users belonging to three Family Health Strategiesin the city of Lajeado, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. A qualitativestudy was conducted through interviews with open questions, inthe following categories: the access to nutritional services, theuser experience when using the nutritional services and the userexpectations regarding the nutritional care provided in area. Theresults showed that the user evaluation in relation to nutritionalcare permeates the recurrent idea that nutrition is associated withhealth and quality of life. However, there was little understandingabout the potential of nutritional service offerings, making itnecessary to insert important and contextualized strategies indaily services offered by encouraging knowledge and spontaneousrequest for care aimed at preventive health.
