Abstract

The present research aimed to investigate to what extent a didactic sequence using the platforms Book Creator and Bitmoji can enhance writing production in the Early Years of Elementary School through the production of students' autobiographies. This study is the result of Scientific Initiation and is characterized by a qualitative approach in the research-intervention modality. The participants are students from a 4th-grade class in the Early Years of a municipal school in the city of Londrina, participating in the Pedagogical Residency Program. Data were collected through participant observation, analysis of activities carried out by students, students' testimonials during classes, and an individual questionnaire. The results indicate that these interactive tools are appealing to students and, thus, can contribute to students producing more meaningful texts, expanding the writing process, textual repertoire, and creative freedom, as well as assisting in the construction of learning and the acquisition of new knowledge. The results also indicate that digital technologies can enhance writing practices when used to promote authorship, production, stimulate imagination, and creativity in a playful and interactive way.
