Abstract

This work presents an analysis of theses, dissertations and articles produced between 2014 and 2023 on transmedia education. The study is part of ongoing doctoral research, the purpose of which is to investigate the impacts of continuing teacher training from the perspective of content transmediation. 89 works were identified, of which 25 were selected considering their adherence to the field of education, the proximity of discussions, the approaches and analyzes carried out. From the works, five thematic categories emerged: encouraging reading and textual production; development of skills, creativity and imagination; digital literacy; Transmedia Narrative as a teaching resource and continuing teacher training. It was possible to identify, from the studies, a particular interest in understanding the use of transmedia in teaching Portuguese Language and Literature, in pedagogical mediation, in network collaboration practices, in language learning, in literacy through play and in skills development. In the field of teacher training, initial or continuing, for the pedagogical use of transmediation, only seven studies were found, indicating a gap in research.
