Os benefícios da residência pedagógica na formação de professores: um relato de experiência

The Pedagogical Residency is a CAPES program that aims to train teachers through practical experiences in basic education schools during the second half of graduation. It is known that the role of teachers in the development of students is fundamental, shaping their knowledge and skills. In this way, initial training must contribute to the development of skills and knowledge necessary to continue progressing in the profession. Therefore, investing in a teaching residency guarantees effective teaching. Therefore, this work aims to describe the activities carried out in the program and the benefits that participating in it brought to my academic training, thus being a qualitative research of a descriptive nature. In the first module, analyzes and observations were carried out at the school, and there were also dialogues with the school community to understand the functioning and regulations of the school. In the second module, residents taught classes and prepared lesson plans and activities. In the third module, residents participated in school activities and projects, including the Biology Exhibition, an event held in partnership with the preceptor, the coordinator of the biology center's pedagogical residency and the Federal University of Amazonas. It is clear that the pedagogical residency is fundamental for undergraduate students, as it allows direct contact with the school and the classroom, therefore it expands and qualifies professional training, preparing the student for the field of work.
