Autoeficácia na formação superior em estudantes suspeitos de dislexia: relações com história de leitura e sintomas depressivos

Este artigo investigou as relações entre autoeficácia na formação superior (AEFS), história de leitura (HL) e sintomas depressivos em estudantes universitários com suspeita de dislexia. Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem quantitativa, do tipo descritivo e transversal realizado com 303 estudantes universitários, com média de idade de 21,4 anos, sendo 64% do sexo feminino. Os dados foram coletados em abril de 2022, por meio de um formulário on-line que incluía o questionário sociodemográfico, a escala de autoeficácia na formação superior, o questionário de história de leitura e a escala hospitalar de ansiedade e depressão. O tratamento dos dados foi realizado por estatística descritiva e inferencial (testes U de Mann-Whitney, Tau-b de Kendall e Regressão Linear Múltipla). Os resultados evidenciaram um possível risco leve de dislexia, possibilidade de depressão e autoeficácia moderada nos participantes. Além disso, diferenças significativas entre homens e mulheres foram encontradas: universitários apresentaram maior risco de dislexia enquanto universitárias exibiram níveis mais elevados de depressão. Foi também identificado uma correlação moderada e negativa entre AEFS, HL e sintomas depressivos. Outrossim, a autoeficácia pode ser um preditor significativo da presença de indicador de risco para dislexia a partir da HL e dos sintomas depressivos em estudantes de ambos os sexos. É importante incentivar estratégias para o manejo da depressão e incluir ações pedagógicas para aumentar a AEFS durante os cursos universitários em programas de apoio das universidades.
