O clube de leitura “Por uma Prescrição Segura”: atividade complementar sobre a prescrição em cascata, polifarmácia e desprescrição

A polifarmácia envolve a administração simultânea de múltiplos medicamentos, frequentemente associada a riscos para a saúde. Pacientes nessa situação estão sujeitos à uma prescrição em cascata, sendo necessária a educação médica constante e o pensamento crítico científico a fim de praticar uma desprescrição segura e o cuidado integral. Este trabalho teve como objetivo descrever a aprendizagem do clube de leitura “Por uma prescrição segura” sobre cascata de prescrição, polifarmácia e desprescrição e os desafios em estabelecer o uso seguro de medicamentos. O referido clube de leitura está vinculado aos Projetos de Extensão Cursos Online cadastrado no ano de 2022 na plataforma SIEXC. As reuniões são realizadas, quinzenalmente, por meio da plataforma de videoconferência Google Meet. Um estudante líder solicita a cada membro a seleção de um artigo dentro da temática estabelecida. Posteriormente, seleciona três artigos para cada encontro, com temas variados. Durante as discussões são elaborados em média dez insights. A análise dos resultados demonstra que a participação no clube de leitura resulta em maior consciência e competência na gestão de pacientes com complexidades relacionadas à prescrição, beneficiando assim a qualidade do atendimento clínico. Este estudo mostrou os benefícios do clube de leitura como aprendizagem ativa sobre o uso seguro dos medicamentos na atenção primária à saúde e como forma de prática e valorização da medicina baseada em evidências.
