An exercise in imagination. Isn't it obvious that this is what any academic-artistic research comes down to? An exercise in invention. Isn't it obvious that this is what any methodology comes down to? In this article, I seek to operate with this obviousness. In an imagined-invented interview with the poet Federico García Lorca, the objective is to forge the possibility of creating a research methodology in Education based on the artist's processes. To do this, I start from a framework that puts Carlos Ginzburg and Linda Tuhiwai Smith to talk and I legitimize this exercise through this unusual conversation. Even more unusual, follows my conversation with Lorca. Delving into his theoretical and practical experiences, we arrive at a Lorquean methodology with its own methods and well-defined epistemological practices. I argue that this exercise helps us to develop other possibilities for research in Education and, not that this is separate, for the political life of researchers. It is an invitation to access another way of producing knowledge.
