Pretendo, neste texto, discutir o pioneirismo teórico-econômico dos teólogos-juristas dominicanos e jesuítas, professores nas grandes universidades ibéricas, que integraram a segunda escolástica, ou escolástica tardia, no século XVI e nas primeiras décadas do século XVII. Segundo Schumpeter, foi “no contexto dos seus sistemas de teologia moral e direito que a economia adquiriu uma existência definida, se não separada, e são eles que se aproximam, mais do que qualquer outro grupo, da condição de ‘fundadores’ da economia científica”.Downloads
