THE PUBLIC COMPANY IN THE CURRENTLY SOCIAL ECONOMIC CONTEXT AND ITS PERSPECTIVES

For sometime now, the rigor that separates public companies that provide public services from theones that explore economic activities in the strict sense is being mitigated. Probably because in thevery nature of the company activity there is a certain hybrid character that brings complex elementsto the topic. If that wasn´t enough, there are current cases that the degree of separation between thepublic service and the economic activity has been damaged due to their own operations, what bringsmore uncertainty to the institutes that surrounds this companies. Therefore, the current publiccompanys become an entity that demands a detailed analysis, starting with the “Empresa Brasileirade Correios e Telégrafos”, that requires leaving behind strict standards of classification, especially ifcompared with the joint capital company or considering the activity they perform.Published
