Abstract

This article aims to investigate the limits of equity judgment through an exploratory analysis of the sources of International Public Law and the jurisprudence of international courts. To this end, it initially addresses in a general manner the sources of International Law listed in Article 38 of the International Court of Justice Statute, namely: customs, treaties and general principles of law. Later on, unilateral acts will be dealt with as sources of International Law and equity, to then discuss the hierarchy of sources and, finally, the equity judgement and its limits.
