This paper’s aim is to analyze the transformation in the working conditions of the truck drivers in Brazil between 2007 and 2020. The 2007 year has been elected as the research beginning because in this year there was a change in the contract nature between truck drivers and the employers. Our research was based on a legislative and review of literature. To that end, we identified the laws enacted between 2007 and 2020 that modified the subject matter, that is, the following laws: 11.442 from 2007; 12.619 from 2012; 13.103 from 2015; 13.703 from 2018. Regarding the bibliographic survey, it was conducted using keywords and the 2007–2020 period in the advanced search engine of Google Scholar. A total of 150 studies were identified, followed by an abstract review to verify their relevance to the proposed topic, leaving 64 relevant texts, which were grouped into six major themes. The results point out the treatment differences which the workers receive, the presence of the same employer for the outsourcing workers and the employed ones, dispute between the outsourcing and the employed, and the difference between what the law states and what happens in reality.
