Abstract

The present article exposes the discussion about the apprenticeship programmes for disabled people, regulated by the Law 11.180/05, as an instrument for their insertion on the work field. Thereby, are approached the history of exclusion of the disabled, the fundamental right of labour and the possibility of utilizing the apprenticeship programmes to solve the exclusion of the disabled in the job market, in addition to debating about the effectivity of the Law 8.213/91, which establishes the reserve of vacancy for the disabled people, in the attempt to guarantee the effectiveness of this group’s rights. Furthermore, it covers the national and international legislation about this matter. This article was written using theoretical-bibliographical methodology.
