Abstract

This article is part of a doctoral research project. It presents the situation of Black and Indigenous children and youth within the formation of capitalist relations in Brazil. To this end, it analyzes historical and bibliographical documents in order to understand the interests of the dominant class regarding childhood in the process of primitive accumulation. It highlights the participation of Black and Indigenous children and youth in the production of wealth, as well as in the struggles of resistance against the violence perpetrated by the ruling classes.
