Abstract

The text “Social Work in History: resistance to social inequalities and respect for diversity” aims to include Social Work in ongoing historical processes. It tries to identify them and, through them, shed light on transformations carried out in contemporary Social Work - in education, in work and union organization - in view of reinforcing ethical-political links with social subjects with whom we work in their diversity unit. The frame is joint social action in defense of a Social Work project committed to peace, human rights, democracy, social justice and the preservation of the planet, ethical precepts that guide the actions of social workers and which unify us. It addresses: I. Social Work in History; II. Joint social action to resist social inequalities and respect diversity and its challenges.
