Abstract

Berço de avanços da Razão, a civilização moderna, a partir da Primeira Guerra Mundial, começa a dar provas, em grau de refinamento superior aos períodos mais cruéis da história, da existência de uma parcela inconquistável do psiquismo humano. Tamanha contradição impôs-se a Freud levando-o a reelaborar pontos nodais do seu pensamento sobre a Cultura, entre eles o da Religião. Dentro destas perspectivas, o artigo se propõe a refletir sobre os paradoxos da Teoria Psicanalítica da Religião.
