The aim of this article is to cartography how the socio-educational institution positions itself regarding the possibility of intimate visits and the expectations of adolescent girls when envisioning the guarantee of this right. The discussion on the topic encompassed sexual rights and reproductive rights, based on the gender and sexuality agenda. Three workshop-style meetings were conducted with 11 adolescents, aged between 15 and 17 years old, in a female unit in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Intimate visits are a right guaranteed by Federal Law No. 12,594 of 2012, with the purpose of family coexistence, strengthening bonds between couples, and promoting health. The concepts of analyzer and recalcitrance were used to understand the resources employed by the institution, with security acting as a regulatory element of the internal order. Our belief is that studies like this serve as catalysts for a debate focused on the implementation of policies committed to the sexual rights and reproductive rights of adolescents undergoing socio-educational measures.
