The paper’s object is the women trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, with emphasis on Brazil. The research uses the integrative review method, also using laws, the criminal code, decrees and international treaties. The research problem is: what is the Brazilian scientific literature panorama on the women trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation? Seeking to answer the question, within the aforementioned scenario, we will find the definition of human trafficking for sexual exploitation, its aspects, purposes, causes and confrontations. The database chosen was Capes Periódicos, using the descriptors: sexual trafficking; women or feminism; prostitution. 36 studies were eligible, but 11 were selected for qualitative and narrative analysis. The result is that human trafficking is a worldwide problem that predominantly affects women of different ages, races and ethnicities. Social and gender inequalities end up influencing the persuasion speeches of the recruiters, causing victims to seek better living conditions, especially abroad. Thus, depending on the normalization of the process of feminization of poverty, the relevance of organizations and instruments for combating crime is inferred.
