NOTAS SOBRE OS ESTUDOS DA CORRELAÇÃO SINTÁTICA NA LINGUÍSTICA FUNCIONAL

Abstract

Linguistic functionalism, in general, is configured as a current of language studies that, in opposition to the formalist pole, sees motivations and pressures of linguistic uses implied in the grammatical structure of natural languages. In the functionalist view, the grammatical structure receives interference from users of a language, who affect, with their language experiences, the grammatical forms of that language. In this work, the following axes are addressed and unfolded: opposition between the formalist and functionalist poles of linguistic studies; exposure of the main functionalist currents of the 20th century; approach to syntactic correlation from a functional perspective.
