Abstract

The text presents some debates accomplished based on the field research carried out with black women teachers in two cities in Maranhão. We present the theoretical and methodological aspects of the research, in an ethnic/racial and gender approach in order to contribute to another way of thinking and valuing professionals from the field of education.
