O processo de regulamentação da ayahuasca no Brasil e na esfera internacional: desafios e implicações

Este artigo propõe um resumo e uma analise daregulamentação da ayahuasca no Brasil, desde sua proibição em meados dos anos 80 ate a recente adoção da Resolução de 2010 do CONAD, que estabeleceu um conjunto de regras, normas e princípios éticos a serem aplicados aos usos religiosos e rituais da ayahuasca. O processo regulatório do Brasil e usado como ponto de partida para explorar o surgimento de temas regulatórios internacionais a medida que diversas nações respondem a expansão global de religiões de ayahuasca, como o Santo Daime e a Uniao do Vegetal. O texto analisa literatura acadêmica e documentos primários de caráter legislativo e judicial, assim como a posição de especialistas consultados.
