A experiência urbana das mulheres no romance "Clara dos Anjos", de Lima Barreto

Abstract

The intention of this work is to investigate the different forms of belonging and displacement of female characters within the suburban narrative space created in Clara dos Anjos. Through several literary scenes, aspects of urban life are presented in the work in question, in this way, Lima Barreto builds a narrative whose lines intertwine with fiction and reports about the suburban space of his time. We will point out how public policy projects ended up significantly interfering in the activity of urban experience, to do this, we will rely on sociocultural studies that surround the subject-city set. From the perspective of city-layer and city-text (GOMES, 2008), we will see that materiality is fundamental to studies of female urban experience, creating, in fact, a dynamism between layers, text, body and space
