Paradigma da metrópole contemporânea: Uma análise da reestruturação e produção do espaço do município de Duque de Caxias/RJ e da Rodovia Washington Luís (BR-040)

Abstract

This paper has the objective of talking about themes that permeate the contemporary metropolis, such as metropolization, production of space, industrialization, alienation, reproduction, and productive restructuring, which are part of the list present in the county and in the city of Duque de Caxias / RJ and on the Washington Luís Highway (BR-040). The article try to dialogue and understands the current socio-spatial dynamics, and in addition, the behaviour of the capitalist conjuncture. We seek to assimilate how a federative entity, such as Duque de Caxias, achieved political and economic prominence in the metropolitan, national and even international context, through partnerships with Chinese provinces.
