Abstract

This text seeks to address the reception of the Anthropocene theme through imagery representations. The selection of images seeks to probe the subjective effects and the related moral views that the climate crisis, encompassed by this concept, seems to produce in the subjects. It seeks to understand to what extent this term can serve as a signal to assess how much ecological issues are discussed from a moral point of view, when linked to visions of harmony/integration and exploitation/degradation. In addition, we will seek to analyze how much the perception that a supposed “sufficiency” of the planet, a kind of metaphysical integrity that would be being degraded by human action, would be able to mobilizemoral judgments whose guilt or accountability would bring with them desires for restoration and reparation
