The present report aims to reflect about how patriarchy is present in the classroom
and how a feminist education can be the key to reduce cases of machismo at
school. Based on a negative experience lived during the supervised internship, this
work defends the importance of fighting against sexist speeches in the classroom
and proposes that teachers begin to be truly interested in an emancipating, critical,
and feminist education. For such, it is important that the school board and the
entire school community intend such speeches and practices and position
themselves not to allow such situations within the school environment.
