O dossiê "O Regionalismo no mundo hoje, caminhos e desafios” buscou reunir pesquisas que analisam o estado atual da integração regional em distantes partes do globo, destacando como os diferentes processos de integração regional se ajustam - ou não - às transformações políticas, econômicas, tecnológicas e ambientais do sistema internacional. Objetivou-se, ademais, reunir textos que auxiliam na identificação de potenciais riscos e oportunidades que um cenário em constante transformação apresenta para os distintos processos de integração regional, entendidos enquanto mecanismos de coordenação intergovernamental e como meios para a inserção no mundo.
