Este artigo tem como intuito analisar a política externa brasileira no que concerne suas ações e posicionamentos acerca da União das Nações Sul-Americanas (UNASUL) no período que se estende de sua criação em 2008 até 2019, quando o Brasil e outros países denunciam seu tratado. O estudo se aprofunda na política externa brasileira dos governos Lula, Dilma Rousseff, Michel Temer e Jair Bolsonaro priorizando as ações de política externa voltadas ao entorno regional e à UNASUL. Para tanto, têm-se como base conceitual e teórica os trabalhos desenvolvidos sobre o regionalismo na América do Sul, bem como a evolução deste processo. A escolha deste tema para o estudo se justifica pela centralidade brasileira na criação do foro e sua recente saída, configurando uma temática atual para a compreensão das rupturas na política externa brasileira dentro das relações internacionais contemporâneas.

ABSTRACT
This paper aims to analyze Brazil’s foreign policy regarding its actions and positions on the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) in the period from its creation in 2008 until 2019, when Brazil and other countries denounce its treaty. The study explores Brazilian foreign policy in the governments of Lula, Dilma Rousseff, Michel Temer and Jair Bolsonaro prioritizing its foreign policy actions focused on the regional surroundings and UNASUR. For that, there is a conceptual and theoretical basis on regionalism in South America, as well as its evolution. The choice of this theme for the study is justified by the Brazilian centrality in the creation of the forum and its recent departure, configuring a current theme for understanding the ruptures in Brazilian foreign policy within contemporary international relations.
