Os resultados do Acordo de Belfast: As identidades e as decorrências do processo de paz na Irlanda do Norte

A Irlanda do Norte é palco de crises nacionalistas religiosas há quase 100 anos. Provavelmente, a única região da Europa Ocidental onde existe esse tipo de situação. Após décadas de embates entre as comunidades católico-nacionalistas e protestante-unionistas, foi assinado o Acordo de Belfast com o intuito de criar consenso entre estas duas partes e reduzir a divisão na região. O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar os sucessos e insucessos do processo de mediação do acordo através da contribuição do estudo sobre nacionalismos e as perspectivas sobre medo e trauma nas Relações Internacionais.
