Enunciative incompatibilities in the Programa de Leitorado: a semiolinguistic analysis of the discourse of ex-leitores of the Brazilian government

Abstract

In the context of international policies related to Brazilian Portuguese, this article discusses the position of professionals who worked with the Federal Government’s Programa de Leitorado. The objective of the study is to verify the position of former readers regarding the professional experience of acting in the referred policy. For this, the article contrasts, through Semiolinguistic Discourse Analysis, the discourses that these subjects presented in official reports sent to Itamaraty, as well as in response to a questionnaire applied by the author. In general, the analysis of the data allowed us to conclude that, in the official reports, the readers were quite satisfied with the experience they had during each semester of work carried out. However, when they projec- ted a non-institutionalized Tud (which is equivalent, in terms of Tui, to the present researcher), the discourse acquired a critical tone and several problems were pointed out.
