Radical Right-Wingers Connected in Ibero-America
The Madrid Forum and the Alliance Between Bolsonarism and the Vox Party

The aim of this article is to examine the ideological and strategic connections between the Brazilian and Spanish radical right, represented respectively by Bolsonarism and the Vox Party. In October 2020, the founding of the Madrid Forum marked the beginning of these rapprochements, which is why we analyzed this organization, focusing on its first two meetings, which took place in Lima in 2022 and Bogotá in 2023. The article is divided into three parts. First, we present the history of Bolsonaro, with an interest in its guiding political values. Then we do the same for Vox. Finally, we look specifically at the Foro de Madrid, analyzing its history and clarifying the interests of Bolsonaro and Vox in the organization.
