Christianity in the land of lamas: another form of sacred comes to Tibet (17th and 18th centuries)

This research note is devoted to discussing a methodological approach to the question of the arrival of Christianity in Tibet in the seventeenth century. Rather than assessing the evangelizing missions that have been established there - a task already developed by the author and already exposed in other publications - it is fundamentally important at present to establish a dialogue with the theoretical approaches presented in the field of the History of Religions. Moreover, precisely because it is a research note, the objective is only to point out the paths that the research finds in the current moment, indicating possibilities of future developments.
