Abstract

This article deals with the contribution of Pibid/UESPI-2015 workshops to the education for teaching. The general objective was to verify the contribution of the workshops developed by the Pibid/UESPI to the improvement of the undergraduates acting as trainees in state schools. These workshops are part of the PIBID/UESPI action plan in the Campi where PIBID is being developed. The action plan was designed to enhance the undergraduates’ ability to use the Portuguese language in Basic Education, as well as to contribute to the improvement of their schooling process. The focus of discussion regarding the program was on highlighting the importance of the scholarship holders’ academic knowledge, in parallel with the practices developed in Pibid/UESPI subprojects. In this research project, we chose to work with a bibliographical approach grounded on Ramos (2012), França (2009), Tardif (2002) among others, and  data analysis concerning the participation of seventeen groups in the "Writing and Text Production" workshop developed in the towns of Piripiri, Parnaíba, Oeiras, Picos, Floriano, São Raimundo Nonato and Campo Maior. In addition, the study was also grounded on the analysis of questionnaires, observation, and dialogue, as both institutional and management PIBID/UESPI coordinators during visits to the campi. The workshops enabled the PIBID’s scholarship holders to make better use of the language in order to be aware of the educational reality of public schools in Piauí.
