Abstract

Abstract: This article proposes to examine the views of the history of Brazil disseminated during the dictatorship of the New State of Getúlio Vargas (1937-1945). In other words, it seeks to present the government efforts toward a reinterpretation of Brazilian history. For this is used as the main source the magazine Culture Policy, published by the Department of Press and Propaganda (DIP), linked directly to the presidency, between 1941 and 1945.
