This study explores the use of video as a methodological tool to investigate affective atmospheres in a vulnerable urban context. Through a collaborative approach, secondary school students from the Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood in Barcelona created videos that evoke the sensations and emotions linked to their environment. The results demonstrate that video allows for a deeper and more nuanced understanding of affective atmospheres, while empowering participants and challenging traditional notions of authorship in qualitative research.
