PRODUCTIVE PERFORMANCE AND TERRITORIAL DISTRIBUTION OF AGRICULTURAL PARANAENSE POST-2003

Abstract

The different agricultural products from Paraná are one of the main income-generating economic sectors in the state. Between 2008-2019, the gross value of production of the main agricultural products in Paraná increased from R $ 53.1 billion to R $ 77.8 billion. In exports, the value generated in 2019 was US $ 12.7 billion, representing 77.4% of the total value of the state, and 13.1%, of the total value of Brazilian agricultural products. Therefore, the general objective of this text is to identify the productive performance of agriculture in Paraná, based on the indicators of planted area, gross value of production, productivity and participation in the state's export basket, since this dynamism was accompanied by significant changes in mesoregional productive structures. To achieve the proposed objective, the method of analysis was based on the categories of socio-spatial formation and geographical combinations. Thus, the process of concentration / deconcentration, dissemination and exclusion established a new territorial productive specialization.
