Abstract
The article analyzes the poem “Padê de Exu Libertador” by Abdias do Nascimento, from the collection Axés do Sangue e da Esperança (orikis), published in 1983, focusing on its poetic-formal, stylistic, discursive, and mythical aspects. We will consider the ritualistic and evocative dimension of the orixá Exu, as well as its representations. I aim to conduct a reading that approaches and engages with the sung points, taken as one of the intertextual and imaginative keys of the poem. The foundation of the work is supported by theories and criticism of literature and poetry, orixá mythology, and sociological and symbolic aspects.
